Dongseo University Launches STEM Career Program for Middle and High School Girls
WISET Project Group Selected as Ministry of Education's 'Certified Institution for Educational Donation Career Experience' by 2023
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Dongseo University’s ‘WISET Project Group,’ which operates STEM career programs for female students, has been selected as a ‘Certified Institution for Educational Donation Career Experience’ by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Dongseo University WISET (Women In Science, Engineering and Technology) Project Group professionally conducts STEM career programs based on the Industry 4.0 Lab, a career experience space for middle and high school students.
The project group has been recognized for its value by continuously providing excellent nationwide career experience programs in terms of educational quality and appropriateness, social service, and education.
With the selection as a ‘Certified Institution for Educational Donation Career Experience,’ the Dongseo University project group will maintain the certification period until July 2023 and provide specialized academic advancement program services regarding careers and majors to local middle and high school students.
The project group’s programs include creative engineering experiences such as 3D Maker Engineering, Robotics-Drone Engineering, Acoustic Interface Engineering, and New Cosmetic Materials Engineering, as well as visiting STEM career design special lectures.
Additionally, through operating advanced engineering programs such as Girls’ Engineering Weeks, Youth Animation Camp, Salon de Einstein Camp, and 3D Maker Challenge Camp, the project group supports students in continuously designing their STEM career paths.
