Chungnam, 224km of 'Forest Trails and Walking Paths' Maintained
[Asia Economy (Naepo) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province is set to renovate forest trails and walking paths within the region.
On the 21st, the province announced plans to repair stairs, maintain road surfaces, and install signboards along forest trails and walking paths. The maintenance is part of the forest welfare service, with a total budget of 7.02 billion KRW allocated.
Previously, the province created the 'Naepo Sasaek-gil' by utilizing forest trails connecting Yongbong Mountain and Suam Mountain around Naepo New Town.

Lee Sang-chun, Director of the Provincial Forest Resources Division, said, "Forests help increase physical immunity, provide psychological stability, and alleviate depression and anxiety," adding, "We will do our best to create and manage forest trails so that local residents can hike and walk without inconvenience."
