SK Magic 'Triple Care Dishwasher' Wins Top Prize at US IDEA Design Awards
Proving World-Class Design Competitiveness at the World's Top 3 Design Awards: USA 'IDEA 2020'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] SK Magic has proven its world-class design competitiveness. SK Magic (CEO Ryu Kwon-ju) announced on the 18th that its Triple Care dishwasher won the top prize, the 'Gold Award,' at the '2020 IDEA Design Awards,' considered one of the world's top three design awards. In addition, two other products, the Double Flex Induction Range and the All-in-One Oven Range, were selected as 'Finalists.'
The IDEA Design Awards, hosted by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA), is a globally prestigious international design competition celebrating its 40th anniversary this year. It comprehensively evaluates recently released products as well as those scheduled for release within three years, based on design quality, material suitability, innovation, environmental consideration, functionality, ease of use, aesthetics, safety, and durability, selecting outstanding products annually.
The Triple Care dishwasher, following its receipt of the globally prestigious 'Red Dot Design Award,' also won the 'CES Innovation Award' at the world's largest electronics exhibition, '2020 CES.' SK Magic explained that this product, recognized for its world-class technology and design competitiveness, was submitted to this competition and became the first dishwasher in the world to win the top prize in the home and kitchen appliances category.
Launched in January, the Triple Care dishwasher is a third-generation dishwasher capable of washing, drying, as well as managing and storing dishes. Reflecting the product concept of being able to store dishes regularly, it features a simple and linear design that creates a more luxurious and professional image. It was also highly praised for enhancing kitchen interior effects by creating an atmosphere similar to installing a high-end cabinet.
Along with this, at this year's IDEA Design Awards, the Double Flex Induction Range and the All-in-One Oven Range were also selected as finalists, showcasing SK Magic's design competitiveness to the world. The Double Flex Induction Range, scheduled for release next month, is characterized by combining two burners to allow cooking with wide cookware such as square pans at once. The introduction of the stylish 'Sahara Blue Color' glass on the top plate, pursuing freshness and luxurious beauty simultaneously, played a key role in this award. The All-in-One Oven Range, equipped with multi-functions including oven, microwave, and air fryer, was highly evaluated for optimizing the user interface and expressing restrained color beauty along with a simple and linear design.
