The city produced a briefing video covering the government's and Bucheon City's hydrogen policies and current status, the necessity of hydrogen vehicle infrastructure expansion, the safety of hydrogen, the Bucheon hydrogen refueling station construction plan and safety measures, as well as a Q&A session.
The video can be viewed through Bucheon City's Fantasia Broadcasting Station (btv.bucheon.go.kr) until the 21st.
The Bucheon hydrogen refueling station will have the capacity to supply hydrogen gas for 91 passenger cars and 3 buses per day. It will operate by receiving hydrogen gas via tube trailers rather than producing and supplying hydrogen gas directly.
The city plans to enhance safety by supplying hydrogen gas to hydrogen vehicles using compressors and dispensers within the refueling station.
As of this year, the city provides a subsidy of 32.5 million KRW for purchasing hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and plans to distribute 70 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles by the end of the year. Considering the increased demand following infrastructure development such as hydrogen refueling stations, the city plans to distribute 170 hydrogen fuel cell vehicles by 2022.
