Daegu City Promotes 'Glocal Tourism' Online Overseas ... "Preparing for Post-Corona"
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Dong-wook] Daegu City announced on the 16th that, as part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's 'Glocal Tourism Promotion Project,' it will produce a total of three promotional videos featuring attractions, food, and activities to promote local tourism overseas through online channels.
The promotional videos to be produced this time will start from Daegu Airport and introduce the Daegu Integrated Tourism Package (DTTP) products, including ▲ Seomun Market food tour ▲ Modern Alley tour ▲ tasting steamed ribs and Hanok cafe desserts ▲ shopping in Dongsung-ro and riding the Spark Land Ferris wheel ▲ experiencing the 83 Tower ice rink and dining while enjoying the night view.
Korean singer Jin-Ju, who won Vietnam VTV's Hidden Singer and has appeared on various Vietnamese entertainment programs, will appear in the promotional videos to share travel tips for Daegu and introduce the city's charm as a tourist destination.
Singer Jin-Ju majored in Vietnamese at Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and is actively engaged in activities such as appearing on 'SBS fun E Suspicious Verification Team,' as well as running a YouTube channel with 210,000 subscribers.
The Glocal Tourism Promotion Project is an initiative by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to foster tourism products with local characteristics to attract foreign tourists to regional areas. Daegu City was selected in the 2016 competition and has been receiving support since then.
