Bucheon-si Provides Up to 2 Million Won Support for Restaurant Facility Improvements
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Hyesook] Bucheon City in Gyeonggi Province has decided to provide up to 2 million KRW to support the installation of standing tables and improvement of kitchen facilities in restaurants, and is recruiting participating restaurants until the 5th of next month.
The city is promoting this project as part of establishing a safe dining culture and expanding restaurants designated with hygiene grades. Priority will be given to businesses participating in city policy projects such as compliance with the hygiene grading system and Safe Restaurant practice guidelines.
Selected businesses will receive support covering 50% of the total facility improvement cost, up to a maximum of 2 million KRW. The city plans to select about 15 businesses through document and on-site inspections until the budget is exhausted.
Eligible applicants are operating general restaurants that wish to install standing tables or improve kitchen facilities (ventilation, flooring, walls, etc.). Restaurants that have received facility improvement support from March to July of this year are excluded.
