[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heeyoon] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 15th that it held an excellent case contest for small business owners who started businesses through the ‘Lifestyle Innovation Startup Support Project’ and finally selected five companies, including ‘Juice & Grocery’.
The Lifestyle Innovation Startup Support Project supports lifestyle idea startups targeting niche markets newly formed due to changes in consumer trends.
This contest was prepared to enhance understanding of startups using lifestyle ideas and to pass on know-how for startup success to prospective entrepreneurs through various successful cases.
The grand prize was awarded to ‘Juice & Grocery,’ which achieved sales of 800 million KRW within two years of starting its business. Juice & Grocery is a company that manufactures healthy juices using only fruits and vegetables.
The top excellence award went to ‘Woori Jip Gonggan Consulting,’ led by CEO Lee Ji-young, who recently appeared as a space consulting expert on tvN’s ‘Shinbakhan Jeongri.’ Woori Jip Gonggan Consulting grew into a company with 600 million KRW in sales and 28 employees, leveraging a startup preparation fund of 500,000 KRW and lifestyle innovation funds.
Another top excellence award was given to ‘The Mong,’ which operates a guesthouse after remodeling an old house. The excellence awards went to ‘Dongdong,’ which developed a noise-canceling microphone that prevents surrounding noise from being heard during smartphone calls, and ‘A&Bio,’ which manufactures and sells health functional foods to prevent aging in pets.
