Changwon City Implements 1.5 Billion KRW ‘Exhaust Emission Reduction Device Installation Support’ Project
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province announced on the 14th that it will invest 1.56 billion KRW in the "2020 Second Half Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Installation Support Project" to reduce air pollutants emitted from old diesel vehicles.
The support targets diesel vehicles registered in the city with emission grade 5 that meet all of the following conditions: ▲ vehicles registered with Changwon City as their primary place of use as of the announcement date ▲ vehicles with no outstanding local taxes or environmental improvement charges ▲ vehicles that have not previously received support for emission reduction projects ▲ vehicles that meet the certification requirements for emission reduction devices ▲ vehicles with a remaining service life of at least 2 years.
The support amount ranges from a minimum of 3.72 million KRW to a maximum of approximately 97.5 million KRW. The applicant's co-payment is between 10% and 12.5%, approximately 370,000 KRW to 1 million KRW. However, for vehicles owned by basic livelihood security recipients and low-income households, the full amount is supported without any co-payment. The application deadline is the 23rd, and applications can be submitted through the manufacturer of the diesel particulate filter (DPF).
