Chungnam Supports Village-Level Solar Panel Installation... Electricity Sales and Revenue
[Asia Economy (Naepo) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province announced on the 14th that it will promote the ‘Resident Profit-Type Village Power Plant Installation Support Project’ next year.
This project aims to revitalize village communities through energy welfare and improve the negative perception of solar power generation facilities.
The project will be carried out targeting 20 villages in 15 cities and counties, utilizing idle spaces such as village warehouses, village hall rooftops, and parking lots.
The province plans to partially support the installation costs of solar power generation facilities with a capacity of 30~50 kW for villages participating in the project.
In the village power plants installed through this project, up to about 20% of the generated electricity will be weighted to allow the sale of the remaining power.
The province will conduct a demand survey for project sites by city and county until next month and finalize the support scale by city and county in November. Then, the project will be implemented through subsidy grant applications in January next year.
The total project cost is expected to be 1.2 billion KRW, of which 720 million KRW is self-funded.
