One Army Training Center Trainee Tests Positive for COVID-19... 12 in Same Dormitory Test Negative
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] A trainee at the Nonsan Army Training Center in Chungnam tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) on the 12th.
According to Nonsan City, a trainee in his 20s who entered the training center the previous day (Nonsan No. 15) tested positive for COVID-19.
The trainee is known to have come into contact with a confirmed case in Seoul.
The city’s quarantine authorities stated that all 12 trainees who lived in the same barracks as the confirmed case tested negative. Preventive testing is being conducted on 8 others.
The training center quarantined 29 trainees who moved around the barracks adjacent to the one where the confirmed case was found, placing them in single rooms.
