Air Seoul Launches First Regional Route 'Cheongju~Jeju'

[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] Air Seoul announced on the 11th that it will launch flights on the Cheongju~Jeju route starting October 8. The Cheongju~Jeju route is Air Seoul's first route departing from a regional city.
Air Seoul's Cheongju~Jeju route is scheduled to operate three flights daily. An Air Seoul official stated, "As part of our domestic route expansion plan, following the Gimpo~Busan route, we have decided to operate the Cheongju~Jeju route as the second one," adding, "We will also strive to revitalize regional airports."

Meanwhile, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Air Seoul's flight operation rate had dropped to about 10% of normal levels, but with increased flights on the Gimpo~Jeju route and the launch of the Gimpo~Busan route, it recorded about 70% in August, showing a clear recovery trend.
