Bucheon City announced on the 10th that a large number of COVID-19 confirmed cases emerged from a lecture held on the 5th for about 30 people at the multi-level marketing company 'TR Innovation' in Songnae-dong.
The first confirmed case was reported on the 8th, just three days after the TR Innovation lecture was held, and a total of 11 people tested positive by the 10th. The company was found to have ignored quarantine rules and proceeded with the lecture while the social distancing level 2.5 was in effect.
Social distancing level 2.5 is a quarantine measure equivalent to the highest level 3, prohibiting gatherings in most facilities except for limited operations in general restaurants. Accordingly, TR Innovation, as a multi-level marketing company, was also prohibited from holding gatherings.
Bucheon City plans to file a police complaint against the company for violating quarantine rules amid the serious situation of infection spread.
