[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] Samsung Electronics will begin pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold2 and Galaxy Z Flip 5G starting on the 11th. Pre-order customers will receive the 'Galaxy Buds Live' as a free gift.
On the 10th, Samsung Electronics announced that pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold2 and Galaxy Z Flip 5G will be available from the 11th to the 15th, with the official release on the 18th.
The Galaxy Z Fold2 is priced at 2,398,000 KRW and will be available in Mystic Bronze and Black colors. The Galaxy Z Fold2 features a larger 7.6-inch main screen and a 6.2-inch cover screen, supporting 'Flex Mode' which allows the device to stand at various angles.
The Galaxy Z Flip 5G, priced at 1,650,000 KRW, is an upgraded model with an improved AP compared to its predecessor. It will be released in Mystic Bronze, Gray, and White colors.
Pre-orders can be made at nationwide Digital Plaza stores, offline stores of mobile carriers, Samsung Electronics’ official website, mobile carriers’ online malls, and online open markets such as Coupang and 11st. Pre-order customers can receive and activate their products starting from the 15th.
Customers who pre-order the Galaxy Z Fold2 and complete activation by the 17th will receive a gift of either the new wireless earphones Galaxy Buds Live or a 'Special Case Package' consisting of an official case, wireless charging trio, and car mount. Exclusive benefits for pre-order customers include a one-year Samsung Care+ subscription, which covers damage and loss compensation as well as an extended service warranty period.
For Galaxy Z Flip 5G pre-order customers, gifts include a one-year Samsung Care+ subscription and a choice between ▲ Galaxy Buds Live or ▲ a Disney collaboration accessory package consisting of a wireless charger, case, and custom skin.
Purchasers of either product will receive the 'Z Premier Service,' which offers ▲ 70% coverage for display damage replacement costs (limited to once per year), ▲ two on-site service visits, ▲ one free application of an official protective film per year, and ▲ premium consultation services.

Samsung Electronics is also running a trade-in program for customers purchasing the two new foldable products, targeting iPhone and Galaxy S and Note series devices, until October 31. Compensation can be up to twice the trade-in price offered by mobile carriers. From the 10th to the 11th, a special compensation program will be available for the first 10,000 customers who previously used the Galaxy Fold and purchase the Galaxy Z Fold2, offering a fixed compensation of 1,000,000 KRW.
