View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The 10th typhoon of the year, 'Haishen,' is expected to move northward very close to the East Coast. The entire country will be affected.
As of 3 a.m. on the 7th, Typhoon Haishen has a central pressure of 950 hPa and a maximum wind speed of 155 km/h. It is moving northward at 37 km/h about 240 km east of Seogwipo.
This strong typhoon, moving northward with a wind radius of 400 km, is expected to impact the entire country.
At 8 a.m. on the same day, it will be closest to Tongyeong, and by 9 a.m., it will pass closest to Busan.
As the typhoon moves northward, cloudy skies and heavy rain are expected nationwide.
Especially, heavy rainfall will occur mainly in Gangwon Yeongdong and Gyeongsang provinces, which are closest to the typhoon. Expected rainfall amounts are 100-300 mm (with some areas exceeding 400 mm) in Gangwon Yeongdong, Gyeongsang, Ulleungdo, and Dokdo; 100-200 mm in Jeonnam and eastern inland Jeonbuk; and 30-100 mm in other parts of the country.

Strong winds will also blow. Maximum instantaneous wind speeds of 90-145 km/h are expected in Gangwon Yeongdong, Gyeongsang, Ulleungdo, Dokdo, and Jeju Island; 35-110 km/h along the West Coast and southern coast of Jeonnam; and very strong winds of 35-70 km/h in other regions.
