SK Energy and Community Chest of Korea Launch 'Good Gas Station Campaign'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] SK Energy, the petroleum business subsidiary of SK Innovation, announced that it will further expand the "Good Gas Station Campaign," which allows customers to participate in donations by purchasing kerosene, following last year's initiative.
On September 2nd, SK Energy held a "Business Agreement Ceremony for the Operation of the SK Good Gas Station Campaign" at the Daejeon Community Chest of Korea office, together with SK gas stations (independently operated gas stations) located in the Chungcheong, Honam, and Gyeongnam regions and the Community Chest of Korea. Attendees included Lee Young-chul, Head of SK Energy's Southern Business Division, Kim Kyung-soo, CEO of Seosan Jeil Gas Station, and Jung Tae-hee, Chairman of the Daejeon Community Chest of Korea, among other event officials.
Led by independently operated gas stations, the "SK Good Gas Station Campaign" is part of SK Energy's social value creation activities linked to rural and urban areas with high kerosene consumption during the winter season. Donations are raised by contributing 3 to 5 KRW per liter of kerosene sold to the Daejeon Community Chest of Korea.
Starting with this agreement, approximately 140 independently operated gas stations in the Chungcheong, Honam, and Gyeongnam regions, along with SK Energy and the Community Chest of Korea, will participate in the campaign. The raised donations will be used to support neighbors in need within the region and social welfare facilities.
