High-Risk Facilities, Religious Facilities, and Social Welfare Facilities to Maintain Administrative Orders
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City (Mayor Heo Seok) will lift operational restrictions from the 5th on certain facilities that had been limited by administrative orders due to the local spread of COVID-19.
Mayor Heo Seok of Suncheon announced at 10 a.m. on the 4th through a statement, “We have decided to lift the suspension of operations for medium- and low-risk facilities and major tourist sites starting Saturday, the 5th.”
Accordingly, pubs, study cafes, and franchise coffee shops will be able to operate normally, and the operation of Suncheonman National Garden, Suncheonman Wetland, Nagan Eupseong, drama filming locations, and other representative tourist sites in Suncheon will also resume.
However, game centers and arcades, bathhouses and saunas, movie theaters, performance halls, indoor sports facilities, kids cafes, academies with fewer than 300 students, and model houses, which Jeollanam-do has issued a gathering ban administrative order for until the 7th, will be allowed to operate normally starting from the 8th.
Mayor Heo stated, “High-risk facilities, religious facilities, social welfare facilities, and remote classes at schools will maintain the current status until the 11th, and if no new confirmed cases continue to appear, we will consult with the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters and ease Suncheon City’s overall social distancing to Level 1 starting from the 12th.” He also requested, “Please observe non-face-to-face worship at all religious facilities only until this week.”
