Next Year’s 60th Gyeongnam Provincial Sports Festival Confirmed to Be Held in Changwon City
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Choi Hyun-joo] Changwon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 3rd that the '60th Gyeongnam Provincial Sports Festival' is scheduled to be held in Changwon next year.
The 59th Provincial Sports Festival was originally scheduled to be held in May this year, but was temporarily postponed due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The city and the Gyeongnam Sports Council have held several meetings to discuss the hosting plan for the Provincial Sports Festival. However, to ensure the safety of residents and protect the athletes amid COVID-19, it was agreed not to hold the festival this year and to postpone it to next year.
