Gyeongsang National University College of Nursing Obtains 5-Year Accreditation for Nursing Education Evaluation
Evaluated as a 'Certified University' for 10 Years Since 2015
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] The College of Nursing at Gyeongsang National University announced on the 3rd that it has obtained a 5-year accreditation after meeting the certification standards in all educational programs and conditions in the 'Nursing Education Accreditation Evaluation' conducted by the Korean Accreditation Board of Nursing Education in the first half of 2020.
The College of Nursing at Gyeongsang National University, which previously obtained a 5-year accreditation in the nursing education accreditation evaluation conducted in 2015, has thus continued its evaluation accreditation for 10 years.
The Nursing Education Accreditation Evaluation is a system that officially confirms and recognizes whether the quality of nursing education has improved and whether the educational outcomes, curriculum operation, and educational environment meet the requirements of the nation, society, and nursing profession to support and manage the achievements of nursing students.
The evaluation areas consist of six categories: vision and management system, curriculum, students, faculty, facilities and equipment, and educational outcomes. According to the revision of the Medical Service Act in February 2012, from 2017, graduates of nursing colleges accredited through the nursing education accreditation evaluation are granted eligibility to take the national nursing examination.
