Lee Jaehyun, Mayor of Seo-gu, Incheon, Tests Positive for COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Lee Jaehyun, the mayor of Seo-gu, Incheon, has tested positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
According to Incheon City on the 2nd, Mayor Lee tested positive in a COVID-19 test conducted before the end of his self-quarantine. Earlier, he had been classified as a contact of a Seo-gu public official A (54, male) who tested positive on the 23rd of last month and had been under self-quarantine.
Mayor Lee came into contact with Mr. A during a meeting attended by Democratic Party lawmaker Kim Gyoheung and representatives of local resident organizations on the 20th of last month.
Mayor Lee tested negative in the first test before self-quarantine but tested positive in the second test on this day and is scheduled to be transferred to a hospital.
