The Premiere was introduced through the 'Life Unstoppable' virtual press conference, which showcases major new products mainly for the European market in the second half of this year.
The Premiere is a lifestyle TV designed to provide consumers with a cinema-like screen experience at home, offering a next-level viewing environment by applying triple laser technology.
Triple laser technology uses separate lasers as light sources for R (red), G (green), and B (blue) colors, enabling the projector to deliver rich colors and brightness.
This product is divided into two models: a premium model with triple laser technology and an entry-level model with single laser technology. It is planned to be released within this year in global markets including North America, Germany, France, Italy, Europe, and Korea.
The premium model with triple laser technology can expand the screen size up to 330.2 cm (130 inches). It features 4K resolution, the same high-definition technology applied in Samsung Electronics' TVs, allowing users to enjoy 4K quality.
The maximum brightness is 2800 ANSI lumens, enabling high-quality video viewing without restrictions even in bright environments. With a contrast ratio of 200 million to 1, it also excels in expressing dark images.
The Premiere is the first projector product to officially obtain HDR10+ and Filmmaker Mode certifications. It provides the best movie viewing environment with powerful built-in woofers and acoustic beams delivering 40W surround sound.
Using an ultra-short throw method that allows placement in front of a wall without complicated installation, it also incorporates smart features available on TVs, making it easy to access video content such as Netflix and YouTube.
Since launching 'The Serif' in 2016, Samsung Electronics has continuously introduced TVs reflecting various consumer lifestyles.
This year, following the outdoor TV 'The Terrace' first unveiled in the US in May, Samsung has significantly expanded its lifestyle TV lineup by releasing The Premiere to target the rapidly growing home cinema market.
