Nowon-gu Hosts the 13th Cyber Photo Contest
Photo Contest with Themes "Into Nature and Culture! Healing City Nowon" and "Happy Today, Looking Forward to Tomorrow in Nowon" ... Up to 3 Entries per Person Regardless of Region ... Submit by October 31 on District Website
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Nowon-gu (Mayor Oh Seung-rok) is holding the "13th Cyber Photo Contest" to share photos capturing the diverse landscapes and moments of emotion in Nowon.
The contest theme is Nowon's catchphrases: "Into Nature and Culture! Healing City Nowon" and "Nowon, where today is happy and tomorrow is hopeful." ▲Various scenes harmonizing with Nowon's nature, culture, welfare, education, and festivals ▲Vibrant scenes of life throughout Nowon, enjoying a happy today and looking forward to tomorrow ▲Photos capturing small but certain happiness (Sohwakhaeng) and the healing city Nowon felt in daily life.
Anyone can participate regardless of region or age.
Photos taken in 2020 with Nowon-gu as the background, in JPG files under 10MB (at least 5MB), can be submitted up to 3 entries per person.
Submissions are accepted until October 31. Photos can be uploaded on the district office website under "Cyber Photo Contest."
A judging panel composed of external experts will select 16 works considering theme relevance, creativity, and artistic quality.
The grand prize (1 winner) is 1,000,000 KRW, the excellence prize (2 winners) is 500,000 KRW, the merit prize (3 winners) is 300,000 KRW, and the honorable mention (10 winners) is 100,000 KRW.
The winners will be individually notified on November 27 and the winning works will be posted on the district website. Selected outstanding works will be introduced on the website and at various exhibitions, and used for promotional materials such as leaflets and posters.
Since its inception in 2008, the Cyber Photo Contest has received enthusiastic interest every year, with 112 participants and 259 entries last year.
Last year, Namhoon Kim's "Awakening Hwarangdae Station Railroad Park" won the grand prize.
