Jeonnam Fire Department Recognized for 'On-Site Response Capability'... Wins 'Excellence Award' at National Presentation
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] The on-site response capabilities of the Jeonnam Fire Headquarters (Chief Ma Jaeyoon) have been recognized.
Jeonnam Fire announced on the 1st that it won the Excellence Award in the response technology research category at the '2020 National On-site Response Capability Enhancement Research Presentation Competition' held at the Government Sejong Complex on the 28th of last month.
The research presentation competition was divided into two categories: response system research and response technology research, with participation from 19 cities and provinces nationwide.
Jeonnam advanced to the final round in the response technology research category with the theme "Initial Response Technology for Large-scale High-speed Railway Fires" and received the Minister of the Interior and Safety Award, an excellence prize.
The TF team from Jangseong Fire Station, representing Jeonnam, said, "We achieved good results by proposing the introduction of customized response equipment necessary for railway fires and directions for improving the response system," adding, "We hope this will serve as an opportunity to establish a cooperative system with related organizations and apply it on-site."
