Bureung "Will Maintain Commission Fees as Before"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The delivery service 'Vroong' recently announced that despite a significant increase in orders due to the resurgence of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), it will maintain its commission fees at the current rate.
Yoo Jeong-beom, CEO of Mesh Korea, which operates 'Vroong,' stated in a notice delivered to stores using the service on the 1st, "Although the delivery industry appears to be experiencing an unprecedented boom, looking beneath the surface reveals a significant shortage of riders compared to delivery demand, and competitive commission fee hikes by some companies are directly harming customers and end consumers."
CEO Yoo explained, "To avoid increasing the burden, we will keep the commission fees unchanged," adding, "We will reduce store promotion costs through the Vroong Store Owner site, improve delivery efficiency to increase riders' profitability, and establish a virtuous cycle through practical improvements in treatment."

According to Mesh Korea, delivery orders have surged significantly due to the spread and prolongation of COVID-19. As a result, the time from pickup to delivery completion has recently increased compared to before. CEO Yoo emphasized, "Mesh Korea has made the philosophy of coexistence the core principle of management and has been striving accordingly. While raising commission fees could resolve short-term issues, it could lead to a vicious cycle that shakes the entire industry, so we will operate with even more thorough principles."
