BMW Korea Celebrates 25th Anniversary with Limited Release of 'BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Edition'
[Asia Economy Reporter Kiho Sung] BMW Korea announced on the 1st that it will release a limited edition ‘BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Edition’ to commemorate its 25th anniversary.
The BMW Korea 25th Anniversary Edition (hereafter 25th Anniversary Edition) will be released in a total of 4 series and 6 models: BMW 3 Series, 5 Series, 7 Series, and 8 Series. Heritage colors, previously introduced on BMW classic models, are applied to the body, boasting a distinctive charm that harmonizes retro vibes with a blend of old and new.
First, the New 320i and New 320d 25th Anniversary Editions feature Oxford Green (limited to 50 units) or Macao Blue (limited to 50 units) colors depending on the trim. Oxford Green, applied to the Luxury Line, was first introduced in 1999 with the 3rd generation 3 Series and is characterized by a deep green color with a rich pearl effect creating a subtle harmony. Macao Blue, applied to the M Sport Package trim, was first introduced in 1988 with the 2nd generation 3 Series and features an attractive purplish hue.
The New 520d 25th Anniversary Edition (limited to 25 units) is released in Frozen Brilliant White. Frozen Brilliant White, first introduced by BMW in 2011, boasts a brighter and deeper color tone, with a matte finish on the surface adding a special touch. The New 530i 25th Anniversary Edition (limited to 25 units) combines the Macao Blue color also applied to the New 3 Series 25th Anniversary Edition.
The New 740Li 25th Anniversary Edition (limited to 7 units) features Malachite Green Dark. Malachite Green Dark, which emits a calm yet subtly deep green, is derived from the mineral malachite used as a decorative material.
The New 840i xDrive Gran Coupe 25th Anniversary Edition (limited to 8 units) is released in Maldives Blue, reminiscent of the clear and transparent emerald hues of the Indian Ocean. Notably, Maldives Blue was first applied to the 1st generation 8 Series in 1993, carrying a homage to that legacy.
