Explosion and Fire of Unknown Cause in Sasang-gu, Busan... Four Including a Family Sustain Moderate Injuries
[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Seul-gi] An explosion of unknown cause occurred at a house in Eomgung-dong, Sasang-gu, Busan, injuring four people.
According to the Busan Fire and Disaster Headquarters, at around 6:23 a.m. on the 1st, a fire broke out along with an explosion of unknown cause on the first floor of a two-story house. A neighbor who heard the explosion reported the fire to 119.
Due to the fire, Mr. A, a man in his 70s living on the first floor, suffered burns all over his body and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Two others, including Mr. A's daughter-in-law Ms. B and her 6-year-old son living on the second floor, inhaled smoke and are receiving treatment at the hospital.
One neighbor sustained abrasions. The fire was extinguished around 7 a.m.
