[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Seoul Metropolitan Council of District Mayors (Chairman: Dobong-gu Mayor Lee Dong-jin) held its 152nd regular meeting on the 31st at 5 p.m., with the participation of 25 district mayors.
Amid the continued spread of COVID-19 centered in the metropolitan area, the Seoul Metropolitan Council of District Mayors held a non-face-to-face video conference to discuss urgent issues such as resident safety, as in-person meetings became difficult due to the strengthened social distancing level 2 measures in the metropolitan area.
At this meeting, the council reviewed and approved a total of 14 agenda items, including proposals to resolve resident inconveniences caused by outdoor units of heating and cooling systems, which are closely related to residents' daily lives.
Additionally, through a report on the progress of the Seoul Metropolitan Government-District Welfare Project Coordination Committee TF meeting, consensus was formed between Seoul and the districts to build a sustainable welfare system by expanding free school uniforms support and reducing disparities in childbirth incentives among districts, and they agreed to work together toward this goal.
