According to Wando-gun on the 29th, 55 people who were directly or indirectly related, such as overlapping movement paths with the Jeonnam 119?120 confirmed cases from the 21st to the 26th, were tested, and all were confirmed negative.
The confirmed cases, a couple in their 80s (Jeonnam 119?120), are believed to have been infected after visiting their daughter’s home in Seoul for medical treatment on the 17th.
On the 19th, they met two acquaintances of their daughter and talked for about two hours. One of the daughter’s acquaintances was confirmed positive for COVID-19 on the 26th, leading to the presumption that the couple in their 80s were also infected.
The Wando-gun Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters sent text messages to all residents regarding the confirmed cases and posted the movement paths on the official website.
Shin Woo-cheol, the mayor of Wando-gun, appealed, “Please make mask-wearing and handwashing a daily habit, refrain from visiting crowded facilities and gatherings, avoid visiting other regions where confirmed cases are rapidly increasing, and replace religious activities with non-face-to-face methods.”
