Seoul Gangseo-gu, Recruiting 223 Enumerators for the 2020 Population and Housing Census
Online Registration from August 26 to September 3
[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Gangseo-gu, Seoul (Mayor Noh Hyun-song) is recruiting survey personnel to conduct the field survey for the '2020 Population and Housing Census,' which will be carried out from October 15 to November 18.
The Population and Housing Census is a national basic statistical survey conducted every five years, targeting all domestic and foreign residents in Korea to collect information on population and housing, providing fundamental data for policy-making by the national and local governments.
To this end, the district will select a total of 223 survey personnel to work during the survey period.
These include ▲ 25 survey managers responsible for field survey guidance and support ▲ 3 survey support staff handling various administrative tasks ▲ and 195 surveyors who will visit households directly to conduct tablet-based surveys.
Anyone aged 18 or older with a strong sense of duty and responsibility can apply. Priority will be given to Gangseo-gu residents, those with experience in large-scale statistical surveys, and families raising three or more children.
In particular, since this survey will be conducted as a 'paperless electronic survey' using tablet PCs, those who can smoothly operate smart devices will be given priority.
The application period is from August 26 to September 3, and applications can be submitted through the Population and Housing Census website.
More detailed information can be found on the 'Gangseo-gu Office website - News Plaza - Legislation/Notice/Announcement' section.
The district will announce the selection results on September 10 via the district office website and individual text messages, and successful candidates will undergo pre-training before being assigned to survey duties.
A district official stated, "The Population and Housing Census is a fundamental statistic that forms the basis for national and regional policies and serves as the standard for all statistics. The accuracy of the census depends on the capabilities of the survey personnel, so we hope for active participation from those who will approach the survey with responsibility and dedication."
