[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] In Gwangju, six additional COVID-19 cases were confirmed, bringing the total to seven confirmed cases in one day. All are local infections, with five of them being undetected transmission cases with unknown infection routes.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on the 26th, following the confirmation of a resident in Yongyeon-dong, Dong-gu, classified as case number 285, residents in Yongdu-dong, Buk-gu; Gyelim-dong, Dong-gu; Mangwol-dong, Buk-gu; Banghak-dong, Dobong-gu, Seoul; Sansu-dong, Dong-gu; and Usan-dong, Gwangsan-gu were confirmed positive.
They were classified as Gwangju cases 286 to 291.
Cases 285 to 288 and 291 are undetected transmission cases with unknown infection routes. Case 289 was a contact of case 285, and case 290, related to the Gwanghwamun rally, tested positive during self-quarantine after contact with case 272.
Since the 12th, 75 confirmed cases have occurred in the Gwangju area. Among them, 67 are local infections and 8 are overseas entrants.
