As of July 1, 204,527 cases of the 2020 regular resident tax imposed... Payment deadline until the 31st... Various payment methods available including banks, Seoul City ETAX, telebanking, etc.
[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Nowon-gu (District Mayor Oh Seung-rok) has imposed the regular resident tax for August this year and is actively providing payment guidance.
The taxpayers of the resident tax are individuals (heads of households) residing in Nowon-gu as of the tax base date, July 1, individual business owners with business locations (with a VAT taxable base of 48 million KRW or more in the previous year), and corporations (including unincorporated associations, foundations, and organizations subject to corporate tax).
The amounts are 6,000 KRW for individuals, 62,500 KRW for individual business owners, and 62,500 to 625,000 KRW for corporations (differentially imposed depending on capital and number of employees), totaling 204,527 cases and 2.28 billion KRW. Payment is due by the 31st, and a 3% surcharge will be added if payment is late.
Payments can be made at all banks nationwide, and various methods such as Seoul ETAX, telebanking, and account transfer are available without visiting financial institutions.
Also, even without a tax notice, taxpayers can check details and make payments using their card or passbook at bank cash machines (CD/ATM).
Smartphone users can use the Seoul tax payment app (STAX) or simple payment services (KakaoPay, PAYCO, SSG, Naver Pay, etc.).
If reissuance of the tax notice is needed, visit the nearest community service center or the district office tax department.
For inquiries, contact the District Office Tax Division 1.
