[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Gwangsan Fire Station (Chief Im Jongbok) announced that it operated a 'Preventive Mobile Inspection Team' targeting areas expected to be damaged by wind and flood disasters in preparation for the northward approach of Typhoon No. 8 'Bavi'.
The Preventive Mobile Inspection Team was composed of four members (two teams of two), including Heo Im, the head of prevention at Gwangsan Fire Station.
The focus was on preemptive measures against wind and flood damage at four large construction sites expected to be affected by strong winds and one area at risk of re-flooding after being submerged during the recent heavy rains.
The main inspection items included ▲ the appropriateness of operation according to the installation standards of temporary fire facilities at construction sites under resident supervision ▲ the restoration status of flood damage from heavy rains and the normal operation of fire facilities ▲ pre-inspection and preparation against the risk of re-flooding.
