Among the total 71 pledges of the 7th local government administration, 34 have been completed, showing a completion rate of 48%.
On the 25th, Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced that it held a status check meeting on the progress of major policies and pledges to ensure there are no gaps in work despite the flood damage and COVID-19 situation.
The meeting held on the 24th at the county office’s Communication Maru was attended by the deputy governor and department heads, who exchanged various opinions. The attendees reviewed the progress of the 7th local government pledges, major policies, and tasks, and discussed measures for underperforming projects.
During the meeting, a progress report on major policies and tasks for 2020 was also conducted. The major policy projects are aimed at increasing resident convenience and resolving inconveniences, with a total of 250 key projects reviewed that day.
Representative projects include △establishment of the Gokseong-gun Scholarship Foundation, △creation of a central street gallery, △construction of a Young Farmer Incubating Hub Center, △establishment of a youth support system, and △development of Gokseong Toran well-being food as a premium brand.
Thirty-one pledges are being implemented as planned. Accordingly, combining the 34 completed projects and the 31 projects progressing normally, the overall implementation rate stands at 91%. The remaining six projects are either not yet started, underperforming, or deemed difficult to proceed due to low feasibility based on professional review.
As a result, there were 30 completed projects and 185 projects progressing normally, showing an implementation rate of 86%. The remaining 35 projects were event-type projects, and their implementation rate was low due to cancellations of various events caused by the impact of COVID-19.
The attendees engaged in focused discussions, proposing various measures such as declaring some policies impossible to implement within the year or postponing their progress for policies with insufficient implementation rates.
