Changwon City plans to replace the power supply and distribution panels within Dongsom Amusement Park and rebuild the substation building starting at the end of this month. Additionally, maintenance work will be carried out to demolish the old circus building and outdoor deck, which were greatly loved by tourists.
The maintenance work at Dongsom Amusement Park is necessary because the substation building is severely aged, and the internal power supply and distribution panels, installed in 2002 and still in operation, have exceeded their durability period, raising concerns about power outage accidents.
The city plans to complete the reconstruction of the aged substation and replacement of the power supply and distribution panels by December, starting at the end of this month.
The old circus building, one of the main attractions representing Dongsom, will also be demolished. In its place, a grass plaza will be created to secure a sea view overlooking the Machang Bridge.
