As a result of an investigation by the Yeonggwang Office of Education into students affected by the heavy rain that poured over Jeonnam from the 7th to the 8th, it was confirmed that the homes of three students in the district were flooded, and they stayed at places such as the village hall.
In response, Superintendent Heo Ho first provided urgent support such as textbooks, school uniforms, and counseling activities for psychological stability in school life, and visited the schools to address other necessary matters and offer encouragement.
Additionally, Yeonggwang Middle School collected donations from faculty and staff at the school level and delivered them, and Yeonggwang High School and Haeryong High School also promised to waive dormitory fees and provide scholarships for students affected by the heavy rain.
