LG Electronics Faces COVID-19 Cluster Infection at Indonesia Local Site
[Asia Economy Reporter Baek Kyunghwan] It has been reported that about 200 local employees at LG Electronics' Indonesia factory have been collectively infected with the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
According to foreign media and industry sources on the 24th, approximately 200 local employees working at the Cibitung production subsidiary in West Java, Indonesia, tested positive for COVID-19.
The LG Electronics Cibitung factory produces displays such as TVs, and work is underway to relocate part of the TV production line from Gumi, Korea. So far, one-third of the total 600 employees have tested positive for COVID-19, but no Korean employees are reported to be infected.
