GS Construction Reports COVID-19 Case Among Employees... Office Closed and Disinfected for 3 Days
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] GS Construction's headquarters was closed after an employee tested positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
According to GS Construction and the construction industry on the 24th, one employee at GS Construction's headquarters was confirmed positive for COVID-19. Accordingly, GS Construction notified its employees that the headquarters would be closed that morning and relocated employees by dividing them into upper floors (15th to 24th floors) and lower floors (4th to 14th floors).
GS Construction plans to close the building for the next three days and conduct disinfection. The company stated that once the health authorities complete the epidemiological investigation, employees who had close contact with the confirmed case will self-quarantine for 14 days, and the remaining employees will return to work after the disinfection is completed. The emergency response team, consisting of 29 key personnel responsible for major company operations, has relocated to the Namchon Leadership Center, the emergency work site, starting today.
