Ministry of Education Selects 2,909 Projects for 'Humanities and Social Sciences Research Professor Support Program'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The Ministry of Education announced on the 24th that it has selected 2,909 projects for the 'Humanities and Social Sciences Research Professor Support Project (Type B)'.
The selected researchers will receive an annual support of 14 million KRW, enabling them to continue their research activities in the humanities and social sciences fields without career interruption. This year, lecturers who have had university teaching experience within the last five years but are currently not appointed were separately selected, and the eligibility criteria were expanded from holding a doctoral degree to holding a master's degree or higher. Among the total selected, 725 are researchers without affiliation.
Type B is a restructured project from the 'Part-time Lecturer Research Support Project' that was supported from 2011 until last year, providing research funds to help researchers continue their work without career breaks.
