Over 40 Members Assist with Organizing Agricultural Supplies and Waste Disposal
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Amid the ongoing heatwave, a social organization in Goheung-gun has been setting an example by working hard at the flood recovery site in Gurye.
On the 21st, Goheung-gun, Jeollanam-do, announced that about 40 members of agricultural learning groups?the Nongchon Jidojahoe (Rural Leaders Association, President Nam Yangwan), Saenghwal Gaeseonhoe (Life Improvement Association, President Lee Okhee), and 4-Hhoe (4-H Association, President Shin Gilho)?visited the damage site in Masan-myeon, Gurye-gun, which suffered severe damage from recent heavy rains, on the 20th to carry out volunteer activities.
The participants visited agricultural sites such as greenhouses, cleaned agricultural materials contaminated with muddy water, handled waste disposal, and worked together on recovery efforts to support flood victims who were short of manpower.
Members who participated in the volunteer work said, “We gathered with the hope of being of some help to those affected,” and added, “We pray that the residents affected by this heavy rain will quickly recover, overcome their pain, and return to their daily lives as soon as possible.”
