Gyeonggi-do "Please Pay Comprehensive Income Tax and Personal Local Income Tax by the End of This Month"
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Individuals must pay their local income tax for the "2019 comprehensive income final return" by the end of this month.
Gyeonggi Province originally set the local income tax filing and payment deadline at the end of May, but extended it by three months to the end of August to ease the burden on taxpayers due to COVID-19.
The province plans to send payment reminders via text messages and notices to prevent disadvantages caused by discrepancies between the filing and payment deadlines that may result in taxpayers failing to pay on time. Additionally, it will actively promote awareness among residents through various SNS channels and local electronic billboards to minimize delinquencies.
