Prosecutors Assign 'Yoo Si-min's Defamation of Han Dong-hoon' Complaint to Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Dong-hoon] The prosecution has launched an investigation into the case in which Yoo Si-min, chairman of the Roh Moo-hyun Foundation, was accused of spreading false information about Prosecutor Han Dong-hoon and others.
According to the legal community on the 20th, the prosecution assigned the case, in which the civic group 'Action Alliance for Restoring the Rule of Law' (Beopse-ryeon) filed a complaint against Chairman Yoo for defamation and disclosure of official secrets, to the Criminal Division 1 of the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Lee Byung-seok).

Earlier, on the 24th of last month, Chairman Yoo appeared on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jong-bae's Focus' and said, "I judged that it is highly likely that the (Supreme Prosecutors' Office) Anti-Corruption and Strong Crime Division, where Prosecutor Han Dong-hoon was, viewed the (Roh Moo-hyun Foundation account) around November to December last year." Beopse-ryeon claimed that Chairman Yoo's remarks constituted defamation against Prosecutor Han and officials of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office and filed a complaint.
