Democratic Party 38.9%·United Party 37.1%... Democratic Party Regains Lead [Realmeter]
[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Nahum] The Democratic Party of Korea, which had lost its lead in party approval ratings to the United Future Party, made a significant rebound in two weeks and regained the lead.
According to a poll conducted by Realmeter on behalf of tbs from the 18th to 19th, the Democratic Party recorded 38.9% in party support, surpassing the United Future Party's 37.1% again, announced on the 20th. The Democratic Party rose by 4.1 percentage points compared to the previous week, while the United Future Party increased by 0.8 percentage points. The gap between the two parties' approval ratings is 1.8 percentage points, within the margin of error.
The Democratic Party showed a particularly large increase of 15.2 percentage points in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam, and a 7.2 percentage point rise in the Chungcheong region. Among men (7.3 percentage points), those aged 70 and above (8.9 percentage points), centrists (6.4 percentage points), progressives (5.7 percentage points), students (14.9 percentage points), and self-employed workers (9.7 percentage points) also showed significant increases.
The United Future Party also maintained an upward trend for three consecutive weeks. It rose across the board in Gwangju and Jeolla (3.4 percentage points), women (5.1 percentage points), those in their 60s (6.3 percentage points), those in their 30s (5.8 percentage points), conservatives (3.0 percentage points), and labor workers (10.0 percentage points), driving the overall increase in support.
Support for other parties outside the two major parties was as follows: Open Democratic Party 4.0%, People's Party 3.6%, and Justice Party 3.3%.
President Moon Jae-in's approval rating for his administration rose by 1.8 percentage points from the previous week to 45.1%. Negative evaluations decreased by 0.3 percentage points to 52.3%.

This survey contacted 26,925 voters aged 18 and over nationwide, with a final 1,506 respondents completing the survey, resulting in a 5.6% response rate.
