Hyundai Elevator to Provide Flood Relief Supplies to Flood Victims in Chungju
Support Including Home Appliances Worth 150 Million KRW
[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Je-hoon] Hyundai Elevator announced on the 19th that it has decided to provide flood relief supplies worth 150 million won to flood victims in Chungju, Chungbuk, who suffered heavy damage from recent torrential rains.
According to Hyundai Elevator, this support will be provided in a customized manner by delivering home appliances and other daily necessities to flood victims whose homes were damaged. Prior to this, Hyundai Elevator employees visited the flood-affected areas on the 13th to participate in restoration volunteer activities.
Song Seung-bok, CEO of Hyundai Elevator, said, "We hope this will help the flood victims in the Chungju area, who are devastated by unprecedented heavy rains and the resulting damage, to overcome their pain," adding, "We will do our best to support the recovery efforts."
Jo Gil-hyeong, mayor of Chungju, said, "Despite the difficult conditions due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, we thank Hyundai Elevator for providing supplies," and added, "We will do our utmost to restore the damage so that citizens can return to their daily lives as soon as possible."
