A Woman in Her 30s Returning from the Philippines Confirmed as Jeonbuk's 52nd COVID-19 Case

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hong Jae-hee] A woman in her 30s who returned from overseas travel tested positive for COVID-19, marking the 52nd confirmed case in Jeonbuk.
According to Jeonbuk health authorities on the 18th, Ms. A, a woman in her 30s residing in Jeonju who returned from a trip to Manila, Philippines, was confirmed positive for COVID-19 and classified as the 52nd case in Jeonbuk (26th case from overseas entry).
Ms. A departed from Manila Airport in the Philippines at around 11:50 PM on the 16th and arrived at Incheon Airport at around 4:00 AM on the 17th (Asiana Airlines OZ 704, seat 36K).
Afterward, at around 8:25 AM, she took an airport bus (with 15 passengers) and arrived at the World Cup Stadium at around 11:00 AM, then took a fire department vehicle and arrived at the Jeonbuk Human Resources Development Institute at 12:15 PM.
She underwent specimen collection at around 5:00 PM, and the health and environment research institute confirmed a positive COVID-19 test result at 2:00 AM on the 18th.
Ms. A wore a mask throughout her travel period and is currently reported to have symptoms of sore throat and headache. She is hospitalized and receiving treatment at Gunsan Medical Center.
