Changwon City Replaces Civil Defense Training with 'Smart Education'
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Ju Cheol-in] Changwon City in Gyeongnam announced on the 17th that it will convert the civil defense group training, which was suspended due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), into 'Smart Civil Defense Training.'
The Smart Civil Defense Training will be conducted from September 1 to November 30, and the target participants are civil defense members in their 1st to 4th year and local civil defense captains affiliated with Changwon City. They can receive training using a PC or smartphone.
The training method allows participants to access the city hall website or internet portals, verify their identity, and take the course. The training lasts for one hour, covering 15 subjects and 20 questions, and a score of 70 or above is recognized as completion of the training.

A city official said, "We expect that concerns about the spread of COVID-19 during group training will be alleviated through smart training," and added, "We ask for active cooperation and participation from civil defense members and local civil defense captains."
