Grand Korea Leisure Holds 1st Safety Management Committee Meeting of 2020
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Grand Korea Leisure (GKL) announced on the 11th that it held the 1st Safety Management Committee meeting of 2020 at its headquarters conference room in Samseong-dong, Seoul.
The main agenda items included ▲ Improvement status of issues pointed out in the 2019 safety activity level evaluation ▲ Response status to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) ▲ Report on the first half of the year including measures taken following confirmed COVID-19 cases at GKL headquarters ▲ Response plans for the implementation of the 5-level safety rating system for public institutions in 2020 ▲ Deliberation on key topics such as strengthening disease response and external cooperation measures.
Yoo Tae-yeol, President of GKL, said, "As the demand for strengthened safety management has greatly increased across society, we feel a heavy responsibility as a public enterprise," adding, "GKL will become a safe public enterprise loved by the people, prioritizing the safety of customers and employees."
Earlier, at the board meeting held on the 10th, GKL renamed its existing safety and security office, a dedicated safety organization, to the Safety Management Office and newly established an industrial safety management part under it to strengthen industrial safety and health management.
