'Flood Disaster' Body of Woman in Her 70s Found in Seoul Bulgwangcheon Stream
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-ju] A woman in her 70s was found dead near Bulgwangcheon in Mapo-gu, Seoul, where access has been restricted due to recent continuous heavy rain, prompting the police to launch an investigation.
The Mapo Police Station in Seoul announced that at around 8:15 a.m. on the 11th, Ms. A (70, female) was found dead near Jungamgyo Bridge on Bulgwangcheon in Seongsan-dong, Mapo-gu. It is reported that a taxi driver passing by the area discovered her and reported it.
At the time of discovery, Ms. A was unconscious and had no external injuries, leading the police to consider the possibility of homicide low. In particular, since the time of death does not appear to be long ago, there is also speculation that it could be related to a flood accident.
