Busan City announced on the 10th that it has completed the installation of a total of 703 Wi-Fi devices at 635 locations, including bus stops, starting free service from the 10th to help citizens conveniently use public transportation and reduce communication costs.
This project follows last year's completion of free Wi-Fi service on city buses (2,517 units) to enhance convenience for public transportation users, and was first installed at bus stops equipped with Bus Information Terminals (BIT).
To use the service, users can connect to the Wi-Fi by checking the identifier (SSID) ‘Busan_WiFi’ or ‘Public WiFi Secure’ on their mobile phones or other devices capable of Wi-Fi access at bus stops and other locations.
Referring to the security connection notice attached at the bus stops allows users to access a secure and high-speed quality public Wi-Fi service.
However, due to the nature of public Wi-Fi services accessible to anyone, it is safer to avoid entering sensitive personal information or conducting financial transactions.
