Boseong-gun Hosts SNS Event to Select 'Boseong's Top Representative Character'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Yong-chul] Boseong County has created a trio of characters?Nokchamon, Kkomakmon, and Kiwimon?based on its representative local specialties: green tea, cockles, and kiwi, to promote the region and its specialty products.
On the 10th, Boseong County in Jeonnam announced that it has created a trio of characters using local specialty products and will hold an SNS event open to the entire nation to commemorate this.
The event will run for 10 days from August 7 to 16. To participate, one must subscribe to the official Boseong County YouTube channel, watch the posted video titled “Vote for Boseong’s Number One Representative Character!” and leave a comment supporting their favorite character.
Through a drawing, about 130 participants will receive Boseong specialty products (choose one from green tea, cockles, or kiwi), Boseong character grip-toks, mobile beverage gift certificates, and more. Winners will be announced on the 18th via Boseong County Office’s Facebook and Boseong County YouTube channel.
The characters will begin full-scale activities through SNS starting in September.

A county official stated, “Going forward, the trio of Boseong specialty product characters will promote local specialties both online and offline and carry out various activities to boost sales of agricultural specialty products. We will develop win-win plans utilizing the characters with fun content to support farms that have been struggling due to COVID-19 and the rainy season.”
