Volvo Korea Launches Eco-Friendly Brand Campaign 'BE BETTER'
'Creating a Better Tomorrow for the Earth' Theme
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Ji-hee] Volvo Cars Korea announced on the 10th that it will carry out a new eco-friendly brand campaign called 'BE BETTER,' with the theme of creating a better tomorrow for the planet.
This campaign was planned in line with Volvo Cars' eco-friendly vision to achieve climate neutrality by 2040 for a sustainable future. During this period, various activities will be conducted through the website and pop-up stores to raise awareness of the crises caused by climate change once again and to encourage participation in protecting the environment through small changes in daily life.
First, until the 30th, Volvo Korea's website will operate an event offering a limited edition of 2,040 BE BETTER kits composed of a portable cutlery set, an eco-friendly dust bag, and masking tape. To participate, individuals must select one of three stories included in 'Canned Nature'?namely, Jinhae Cherry Blossoms, Jeju Southern Bottlenose Dolphin, or Baekdu Mountain Perennial Snow?and then pledge to 'Create a Better Tomorrow.'
The pledged actions consist of small lifestyle changes such as separating recyclables, adhering to an economical speed of 60-80 km/h, and reducing food waste by 20%. According to Volvo Korea, following just these three actions can reduce carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 190 kg annually.
Additionally, during the campaign period, those who share the campaign content on their personal social network service (SNS) accounts with the BE BETTER hashtag will be entered into a draw to receive Starbucks coffee gifticons. To further promote participation, a BE BETTER pop-up store will be operated for nine days from the 15th to the 23rd of this month on the first floor of Lotte World Mall in Jamsil, Seoul.
