Iwan Transforms into a Caddie for His Wife Lee Bo-mi... "I Think I Lost Because I Didn't Listen to My Husband"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jeong-ho] Actor Lee Wan served as a one-day caddie for his wife, professional golfer Lee Bo-mi.
On the 9th, at the Blue One D'Aners Country Club in Gyeongju, Gyeongbuk Province, during the third day of the Park In-bi Invitational (total prize money 1.2 billion KRW), Lee Bo-mi participated as the 8th player of the overseas combined team in a singles match alongside her husband, with Lee Wan carrying Lee Bo-mi's golf bag and acting as her caddie.
Previously, after finishing the third round of the KLPGA Tour Jeju Samdasoo Masters held on the 1st at Saint Four Golf & Resort in Jeju City, Jeju Province (par 72, 6,500 yards), Lee Bo-mi said, "I asked my husband to caddie for me at next week's tournament."
Lee Bo-mi is active on the Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association (JLPGA) Tour, but due to travel restrictions between Korea and Japan caused by the spread of COVID-19, she has not been able to participate in Korean tournaments with her usual caddie.
On this day, concerned about her husband caddying for the first time, Lee Bo-mi switched from a heavy tour golf bag weighing over 20kg to a lighter golf bag to ease his burden.
However, Lee Bo-mi lost by one hole after a close match against Park Hyun-kyung that went all the way to the 18th hole.
In a post-match interview, Lee Bo-mi expressed regret, saying, "I tried coordinating with my husband for the first time, but I think we lost because I didn't listen well to him. He read the slopes on the green well, but my putting touch was off today, leading to many mistakes."
She also expressed gratitude to Lee Wan, who caddied for her, saying, "Still, I think it became a good memory."
Meanwhile, Lee Bo-mi married Lee Wan, who is also known as the younger brother of actress Kim Tae-hee, in December last year.
